This is Lincoln Calling: music, art, innovation.

Lincoln Calling ‘community giveback’ benefits Planned Parenthood, Nebraska Appleseed

Lincoln Calling is excited to present a culturally stimulating, engaging, raised-fist-inducing party, but we’re also aiming to better the community in which we live. It’s why we’re proud to partner with Planned Parenthood of the Heartland and Nebraska Appleseed, two organizations whose work makes a significant difference throughout our state, and we couldn’t be more proud to offer our support to their missions.

During separate three-day periods, Lincoln Calling (presented by Allo and produced by Hear Nebraska and The Bay) will donate 20-percent of all online ticket sales to Planned Parenthood of the Heartland and Nebraska Appleseed to help spread and further their missions. The first campaign runs Thursday, Aug. 31 through Saturday, Sept. 2, and benefits Planned Parenthood. The second is Sept. 7-9 and benefits Nebraska Appleseed.

Lincoln Calling is bigger than ever this year, with 100-plus musical acts including Charli XCX, Best Coast, Angel Olsen and many more. And it’s more than music, with innovative community programming from Sept. 25-30, including Lincoln YP Week headliner Chip Gaines (TV’s “Fixer Upper”), Startup Week, Make Lincoln (Lincoln’s original Maker’s Fair), visual art displays/exhibitions via Benson First Friday, sustainability initiatives, professional development workshops and the Lincoln YPG Night Market — a free-to-the-public, outdoor bazaar featuring awesome vendors, a beer garden and live music on 14th street between O & P.

If you haven’t yet purchased your ticket, support one of these awesome nonprofits by doing so during their specifically designated window. Find tickets here.
