This is Lincoln Calling: music, art, innovation.

Lincoln Calling venue schedules released, 25 new bands added

We have added 25 bands to the Lincoln Calling lineup, pushing the number of talented national and regional acts past the century mark. And now, you can see where all of them will perform during the three-day music festival.

Closeness, Oquoa, The Ambulanters, Flowers Forever and Darren Keen are among the new additions to the 14th-annual downtown Lincoln festival, produced by Hear Nebraska and The Bay and presented by Allo Communications. They join an already exciting horde of performers that includes headliners Charli XCX, Angel Olsen, Best Coast and Charles Bradley, as well as great support acts Frankie Cosmos, John Moreland, Pup, (Sandy) Alex G and more.

There’s more great news, as we can now share the venue-specific lineups for each night, so you know where to find the acts you want to see. Best Coast (Thursday), Angel Olsen (Friday) and Charli XCX (Saturday) will cap performances at The Bourbon (all-ages), one of eight indoor and outdoor venues that also includes The Bay (all-ages), Duffy’s Outdoor (18+) and Indoor (21+), Zoo Bar (21+), Bodega’s Alley (21+), 1867 Bar (21+) and the Lincoln YPG Night Market stage (all-ages). See the full lineup here.

Lincoln Calling is so much more than music, with innovative community programming beginning Sept 25 and running throughout the festival’s duration. They include Lincoln YP Week headliner Chip Gaines (TV’s “Fixer Upper”), Startup Week, Make Lincoln (Lincoln’s original Maker’s Fair), visual art displays/exhibitions via Benson FirstFriday, sustainability initiatives, professional development workshops and the Lincoln YPG Night Market — a free-to-the-public, outdoor bazaar featuring awesome vendors, a beer garden and live music on 14th street between O & P.
